Our laboratory head, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Serdar Çiçek, has been accepted as a member of two working groups of COST Action CA25118 – European Network for NeuroMorphic Computing (EuroNMC). The working group application was approved by the Management Committee of the Action.
Working groups:
EuroNMC is a Europe-wide research network that brings together neuroscience, computer science, hardware design and device research. It aims to advance neuromorphic computing, which draws inspiration from biological information processing as a far more energy-efficient alternative to today's large AI models, by reducing barriers between disciplines, matching brain-inspired concepts with suitable hardware and architectures, and identifying applications and benchmarks.
This membership gives our laboratory the opportunity to carry its work on neuromorphic hardware and AI accelerators, hardware accelerator design and electronic circuit realization of chaotic systems into joint research with teams across Europe.
COST (European Cooperation in Science and Technology) is a funding programme that supports research and innovation networks across Europe.
